First Citizens San Juan Branch remains open for BusinessPort of Spain, July 22, 2020: First Citizens advises members of the public that following a statement made today by the Chief Medical Officer (the CMO) at the regular media briefing update, and the CMO’s further update to the statement, the Bank’s San Juan Branch operations and customer services have not been interrupted by the Public Health Authorities’ confirmation that a customer tested positive for COVID-19. First Citizens confirms that said customer made use of the ATM only, at the San Juan Branch location. The ATM room and ATMs were and continue to be thoroughly and regularly sanitized in keeping with established cleaning protocols. As such, staff at the San Juan Branch would not have been exposed to the risk of contracting the virus from the said customer at the branch, and the Branch and ATM services remain open for business. Customers and members of the public are reminded that in keeping with public health requirements, all persons should sanitize their hands regularly, avoid touching their faces, wear a mask, and practise social distancing by keeping at least 6 feet apart from others, especially in public. First Citizens remains vigilant in the face of the ongoing threat of spread of the COVID-19 virus and continues to take all necessary steps to protect our customers and our staff from the risk of spread of the virus.
