As many of you are aware, on March 10, 2020, the World Health Organisation designated coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic. The Ministry of Health updated its travel advisory, banning the entry of non-nationals who have travelled to China, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Singapore, Spain and The Republic of Korea (South Korea) in the last 1M days.

Trinidad and Tobago confirmed its first case of the COVID-19 virus on March 12, 2020. The patient has been transferred to the Caura Hospital and Government agencies continue to work together to contain the spread of the virus to others. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has advised against all unnecessary mass public gatherings at this time.

The Board of Directors of First Citizens Bank Limited has therefore, taken the difficult decision aher careful contemplation of information currently available related to the COVID-19 outbreak, to postpone its Annual Meeting scheduled for March 17, 2020.
The health, safety and wellbeing of all our shareholders, staff and stakeholders are of paramount importance to us. We believe that the decision to postpone the Annual Meeting is the appropriate one to safeguard all parties involved from potential exposure to COVID-19.
We thank all shareholders and stakeholders for their understanding and co-operation at this time. We will be constantly scanning the environment in order to reconvene the Annual Meeting at the earliest possible opportunity.
