First Citizens supports Tobago Heritage 2010

The launch of the 2010 Tobago Heritage Festival took place on Tuesday 22nd June 2010 at the Fairfield Complex Auditorium in Bacolet, Tobago. It marked the official opening of the Heritage Festival which would run from 16th July to 1st August 2010.

The theme this year is “Tracing Footprints”, which focuses on the adventures, achievements and memories of numerous contributors to Tobago’s cultural development during the Pre and Post Emancipation period.

The First Citizens Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to the rich and diverse culture of Trinidad and Tobago by supporting the Miss Heritage Personality Pageant with a sponsorship valued at $100,000.00.

This is the 23rd year that the pageant has been sponsored by First Citizens and it continues to be one of the premier events on the Tobago Heritage Festival’s calendar. The pageant is scheduled to take place on Friday 30th July 2010 at the Cyd Gray Complex in Roxborough, Tobago.

First Citizens is pleased to be associated with the 2010 Miss Heritage Personality Pageant and recognizes its role in showcasing the beauty and culture of Tobago.

At the launch Ms. Sandra Aliendre, Assistant Manager of First Citizens Canaan Branch presented the cheque to Mr. Garnet Peters, Chairman of the Tobago Festivals Committee and Ms. Tracy Davidson-Celestine, the Honourable Secretary of Community Development and Culture.
