First Citizens Awards $40,000.00 In Undergraduate UWI Bursaries

First Citizens has awarded Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) to students of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, to aid in the pursuit of undergraduate degree programmes.

The four names recommended by the University were Curtis Ramkissoon, Natalia Mohammed, Hemwatte Lakhan and Nirvani Sahatoo.

Each student received a First Citizens Bursary valued at Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to help cover the cost of educational materials and living expenses.

These bursaries were awarded based on academic performance in 2009-2010 and other specific criteria.

First Citizens has been sponsoring these bursaries since 1996 as part of its continuous commitment to supporting educational development and empowering young people to achieve their goals.

We take this opportunity to publicly wish this year’s recipients every success in completing their programmes and ultimately adding value to our society.
