First Citizens Library Collection Broadens the Minds of Students

Press Release September 30, 2010

In 2004, First Citizens began a project titled “First Citizens Library Collection” with an objective of furnishing at least four (4) primary schools each year with educational materials.

This year, First Citizens selected St. Theresa Girls’ R.C. School, Mc Bean Presbyterian School, Clarke Road Hindu School, and Pentecostal Light & Life Primary School and have provided each school with either books and/or other library supplies.

Teachers and students from the above-mentioned schools expressed their gratitude to First Citizens for this investment in youth development and education. Generally, the teachers believe that a better equipped library would facilitate a greater interest in reading and learning about various aspects of life, as opposed to limiting themselves to books specific to the school curriculum.

First Citizens is proud to support these schools and remains committed to installing the First Citizens Library Collections in other primary schools throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
