Bonus Points FAQs

1. Is there a minimum point requirement to redeem your Visa Points certificate(s)?

There is no minimum point requirement for redemption of VISA Bonus Points certificate(s)
 

2. Do bonus points certificates expire?
Yes, bonus points certificates expire 2 years from the date of issue. For e.g. if the certificate is generated on October 13th 2020, the certificate will expire on October 13th 2022.

 

3. What happens to my unexpired certificates that I have not yet redeemed?

Valid Bonus Points certificates can still be redeemed at Participating Merchants until October 2022.

 

4. How do I redeem my bonus points certificates?
Present your certificates to any merchants on the participating merchants listing in exchange for a good or service.
You can locate the listing at the back of the certificates or on the First Citizens website

5. What requirements are needed to redeem my bonus points certificates?
- A valid form of identification is required.
- Your credit card along with the certificate that was issued.
- The primary cardholder’s signature in the presence of the merchant. Only the primary cardholder can redeem bonus points certificates.
- Certificates must not be expired

 

6. Can I deposit the value of my bonus points on a First Citizens account?
First Citizens VISA Gold, VISA Platinum and VISA Signature customers can deposit their bonus points to their First Citizens Tax Advantage Plus account (deferred annuity).

 

7. How do I make a query for bonus certificates not received?
You can send a secure message via First Citizens online banking, submit the query to CreditCardRewards@firstcitizenstt.com or call 625-2893 ext. 2396/2341 advising of the bonus points certificate(s) last received; the period(s) you were expected to receive your certificate(s); and the Branch that is most convenient for collection.

Kindly note queries takes approximately 10-15 days from the date of receipt. Customers are asked to provide valid contact details to be notified.

 

8. If my credit card number or name changes, how do I use unredeemed certificates bearing this information?
Once your bonus points certificates are valid, you will need to submit them for re-issuance in the new card number or name.

You can send a secure message via First Citizens online banking, submit the query to CreditCardRewards@firstcitizenstt.com or call 625-2893 ext. 2396/2341 advising of the bonus points certificate(s) last received; the period(s) you were expected to receive your certificate(s); and the Branch that is most convenient for collection. Certificates can also be mailed via TTPOST.

 9. Is there a deadline for the use of these Bonus Points certificates?
Bonus Points certificates are valid for 2 years. The Expiry Date is stated on the certificate.

 

10. When is my credit card statement generated?
Credit card statements for the following cards types are generated:
10th monthly - VISA Tertiary
13th monthly - VISA Classic
16th monthly - VISA Gold
16th monthly - VISA Platinum
16th monthly - VISA Signature

 

11. When is my statement cycle?
A statement cycle varies depending on the credit card type.
VISA Tertiary: 11th of the current month to the 10th of the following month
VISA Classic: 14th of the current month to the 13th of the following month
VISA Gold: 17th of the current month to the 16th of the following month
VISA Platinum: 17th of the current month to the 16th of the following month
VISA Signature:17th of the current month to the 16th of the following month
