Redemption Guidelines

Redemption Process

  • Contact First Citizens to confirm point balance via online banking- secure message or call 62-FIRST or 625-2893 Ext. 2341, 2396 or 2333 to speak with a representative.
  • Determine your flight destination using the First Citizens reward schedule.
  • Contact the travel agency to confirm availability dates for the travel destination desired.
  • Send a request to First Citizens and advise of your travel date, destination, name(s) of passenger(s), preferred travel agency using First Citizens list of participating travel agencies and authorization to purchase additional points if required (a minimum of 80% required).
  • Requests may be sent via First Citizens online banking-secure messaging or a written letter along with a copy of valid identification (Identification card/Drivers Permit / Passport). Letters must be:
ü Signed by the cardholder
ü Addressed to First Citizens Credit Card Centre and
ü Delivered to any First Citizens branch or the Credit Card Centre (1st Floor, 62 Independence Square, Port of Spain)
ü Submitted at least 15 working days before date of expected/desired travel

 

Cruises

  • Points redeemed cover only the base cruise fare. Any taxes, port charges and gratuity are to be paid by the customer.
  • Cruises should be booked at least 90 days in advance and are subject to availability.
  • Basic and ocean view cabins are offered and are subject to availability.
  • Cardholders will be required to pay for upgrades.
  • Cruises do not include airfare, alcoholic beverages, certain brands of soft drinks, land tours, gratuities (tips) and transportation from the airport to the cruise liner.

  • Points redeemed cover only the base cost and VAT.
  • Flight taxes and charges are to be paid by the customer.
  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Cancellation fee are due where applicable
  • Points are the property of First Citizens and are redeemable only if your credit card account is active and in good standing
  • First Citizens reserves the right to change the program structure at any time
  • The number of points required for one-way; or travel less than 15 working days from date of request will be determined as follows: BASE + VAT/0.13
